Dobber Baseball ranks only 9 Cardinals in top 250

Taveras #11
then
Miller
Martinez
Wong
Rosenthal
Adams
Jenkins
Piscotty
Wacha

in that order. Obviously they have little respect for our system.

One reaction is that "fair share" would be eight (250 divided by 30), so it could be a lot worse. I am not familiar with the rater. Is it one person or a group? What kind of qualifications does he/they have?

Don't know much about them. Stumbled onto them last year. The site is www.dobbersports.com. They also have a hockey section. They list 8 or 9 writers.

I don't think I would have much more than 8.  We have 8 guys that could all be in the top 100, but there is a serious drop off after that. If you're putting the likes of Kelly and Piscotty up at 9-10, then I could see an 8-man top 250.

I definitely like our depth and potential. Most of the after-8 group have some drawbacks though:

Kelly, Piscotty, Ramsey, and Wisdom have very limited pro experience.

Gast, Cleto, and Swagerty are projected by some as relief options.

Tilson, De Leon, Velera, and A. Garcia are in the lower levels and have a long way to go.

Jackson, G. Garcia, and Maness all have notable age/peripherals/production limitations too.
