He may not exactly qualify as a "young" Cardinal, but I suspect that if Mike Matheny should ever venture in to the Hartford, Connecticut vicinity, UCONN would take him in for a night or two.

Teufel....Then you know where Illinois Mutual home office is. I wrote a little business with them a few years back. You also have probably eaten at two of my favorite restaurants------The Fish House on N. University and Avanti's.

I go thru dowtown to get to ADM Peoria..  I work for ADM in Decatur and am up there once a week or two..  Never had a chance to do anything downtown P-Town..  Going to change that this summer when I can catch a Chiefs game and EAT at a restaurant..  FYI  I havent eaten in 31 weeks.. Doing a liquid diet thru hospital...  steak or mexican has been sounding good for quite awhile LOL

I'm not all that sure that I've ever heard anyone ever say this before? Not making light of it, but Teuf is kind of new around here so I don't know if he's joshing or not? If true, this gives the cubs not winning a WS for 105 years a run for it's money in the "that's incredible"! department.

That sounds like something Pugs would do....only his liquid wouldn't give him all the nutritional needs. devil

Ironic that you brought that up, Forschster, as it was only last evening that I overindulged in a bit of the bubbly. It's a rare night where such behavior occurs on a Monday, but it was a friend's birthday so what the heck. We and 3 other couples sat around the table telling stories until just after 2am and when I returned home, I fired off a rather rude remark about lawyers over on Smiley's thread, which has since been deleted.....In my defense, it was the cold duck talking and not me. But anyway, back on topic, I wonder how and if these prospective homes for young Cardinal players are screened? I don't need to tell anybody that there are some really really bad and misguided people out there. What if one of our young impressionable Redbirds were taken in by a home with nothing but cub fans???

LOL I am not kidding.... I have not eaten solid food of any kind in 31 weeks... Just hit 201 lbs lost yesterday...   I had it to lose!!    Told my wife last night that if fat was worth the same price as ounce of gold Id would have been worth 6.4 million dollars in last 7 months.

You lost me, Teuf......I mean literally. Losing 201 pounds is like losing me in body weight. Actually, I'm underestimating a trifle here as I'm about 240. But that's great, Teuf!! Keep it going until you hit that goal of your's. What you have accomplished thus far is nothing short of amazing. I really don't think I possess the willpower to do what you have done. Keep us posted if you will.
