Cardinal Christmas Day TV marathon....sounds like the Christmasy thing to do with all of the wifey's clan over. If I didn't know Brian better, I'd think he was trying to get us all in the doghouse by posting this.

Pugs, I'd suggest you get the wife the Desperate Housewives DVD set for Christmas. Then again, even if you have a second TV, you still couldn't sneak off to watch FSM since you'd be forced to watch the DVDs. I suspect your situation is hopeless - unless you ask Santa for a DVR... ;-)

"Hopeless" pretty much nails my situation, DomeBoys. It used to be just "Desperate Housewives on Hysteria Lane" and "Greys Anatomy" that the wifey lived for, but now since Desperate Housewives has been sent out to pasture, she's added a slough of new ones to her viewing arsenal. Super boring hits like "Private Practice", "Army Wives" and a host of others now occupy her time.... Hmmm....maybe this isn't such a bad thing at all.
"If you have a second TV"??? I just counted 8 of the rascals in my mind that we have positioned in various rooms around the domicile. She even has a small 15 incher taking up shop in the basement rest room. Pretty sad if you really think about it. Whatever happened to cuddling up with a good book and a steaming cup of hot cocoa instead of the boob tube? Remember the good ol' days of wrapping your black & white tv's antennas with tin foil?.....only having ABC, NBC, CBS and one or two UHF channels as your only options.....having those "it is now 9 pm...do you know where your children are" messages flash across the screen...where seeing The Star Spangled Banner meant you were about to go off the air for the day...and of course no available devices whatsoever to keep you from having to get off your duff when you wanted to switch channels.

This is pure prose. Guthrie would have been proud. Gotta cut him some slack Domers, afterall sounds like he is surrounded by new relations that are waiting to pounce like a Cubs bleacher bum reaching for a foul ball. Plus the wife is on a "Army wives routine so i doubt he can even view the main TV. Not to worry Pugs i got the whole thing on DVR. I am single.
