TCN 2013 Cardinals Prospect #26: Eduardo Sanchez

Our seventh-ranked prospect one year ago had a rough season. Can the hard-throwing reliever bounce back in 2013?

Sometimes guys just don't bounce back from shoulder problems. I was hopefull, too, but it shouldn't be surprising if he isn't the same.  Along the same lines, we have no idea if Jaime Garcia will ever be what he was.  We can hope though, in both cases.

And it's another example of why you can never have too much pitching. The Cardinals need to continue rolling out hard-throwing prospects. The future looks great with Miller, Rosenthal, Martinez, Wacha, etc. But the odds are few if any of them will remain healthy for very long. The pressure is always on to keep devoloping arms.

Sanchez might not bounce back from the shoulder injury unless he can totally revamp his mechanics because right now they are horrible. He's a torn rotator cuff to happen.
