Future Redbirds top 20

They have started with #16-#20, so context is a bit more challenging. As you might expect, their list is different from yours and ours. More discussion fodder.

20. Whiting
19. Swagerty
18. Jackson
17. Gast
16. Starlin

Well, Swagerty looks like a better fit at #19 in my opinion than at #12.  Of course, I'd like for him to be a shut-down reliever and get ranked justly, it's hard to justify putting him up with the likes of Garcia and Kelly. Or any future reliever for that matter.

I doubt Kozma makes their top 20 either.  The AFL probably helped justify Whiting being a little higher than the communities ranking.

This shows one of the weaknesses of FR - group think.   It is somewhat natural that these guys all have the same philosophy but the fact that all 3 of them put Lyons in their top 10 when almost no one else has him that high speaks volumes.

It would be convenient if Lyons' rank turns out to be justified.

I think Swagerty needs to be ranked a little higher.

Agree, but perhaps it is a bit of the "out of sight, out of mind."

Yea I figured that and it's still in question if he will stay a starter or reliever.

I think if he can bump the MPH by 2 or 3 MPH he could be like Drew Storen.
