Since they are mostly young, short season guys, I'm thinking the way to best use a limited amount of time is to go to minorleaguecentral.com. They have pretty good info on low level guys, especially splits and game logs. Its a pretty ridiculous way to rate guys, I know, but its the best I've got.
I'll also factor in the blurbs about different guys from commenters, but my votes will probably reflect my vantage point. I haven't cast any vote at all in some of these last few rounds, being in a state of confusion and without the time to do it justice. Personally for me at this stage I don't care much about splits and more about talent level and word of mouth. For example... Ronald Castillo is still young for JC- Has a MLB body a huge arm and got a Vlad comp from Moises Rodriquez years ago but still hasn't developed much yet. But still has potential. Rainel Rosiaro is a FA but I hope we keep him. Again linebacker body, great arm and tons of power started off slow at Springfield and was demoted and never had the season at Palm Beach that he had last year. He's a project. Ronny Gil- Despite having a horrible batting average at Palm Beach he still had good extra base pop, is a switch hitter, has plus range and a good arm. Everyone looking for a future SS seems to have forgotten about him. --------------------------------------------- Very much agreed on this sentiment. Gil's stock has really faltered in over two years and as we'll is falling on the SS depth chart. Many people just consider him another all glove/no bat positional player.

Hector Hernandez Ben Freeman Nic Longmire Juan Bautista Dewen Perez Amauerus Capellan haven't heard much about Hernandez in recent memory. Does he still throw in the low-to-mid 90s? He never threw mid 90's He's at 89-92 with an excellent curveball. Sometime he can lose his control but he had a very quality season at QC. --------------------------------------------- By looking at Hernandez game log. He was very inconsistent between starts showed flashes then regressed the next start.

I don't think he's dropped much, he's can make the tough play but often has difficulty with routine plays. He's very similar to other young SS's in that regard. Also his speed and extra base ability keep me encouraged. I've seen him play numerous times and he surely has talent.

I'll vote for Stanley for #59.
Then I'll probably go with Scruggs, Gil or Lemmerman. I'll come back to the pitchers.

At this point for #59 I see only 3 votes cast. Scadder has Ben Freeman, DTFlush has Jholan Acevedo, I have Cody Stanley.

Matt Williams anyone? Bruce Caldwell - .882 OPS as a 20 y.o. at JC? Kyle Hald 178K/36BB over the last 2 years?

I'm only about half way through looking over a big bunch of pitchers these guys have talked up. The SS at least I recognize. Don't know about his glove and arm.

Is a slick fielder but lacks arm strength to stick at SS. Likely will be a utility man if he reaches the majors. Bat is his upside.

Re: Continued 2013 Cardinal Nation Community Prospect Voting
Now that Lemmerman factors in as SS at Springfield, I wonder if Gil returns to PB to play SS and who will play 2B (will Matt Williams be moved to 2B or will Luis Mateo get the 2B job or will Walsh really be tried at 2B there?) Starlin Rodriguez appears to be the Springfield 2B. Then, there's Breyvic Valera. Would they skip him over Peoria to PB? Lots of questions to be answered in Spring Training.

Don't count out Gil being used for utility in SPF. Not sure Valera is that advanced of a hitter for Palm Beach yet. He hasn't even played in a full season in pro ball yet.
