Re: Post of the Week – “Smartpig”

We went to the White House via bus for my senior class trip way back when(four of us were suspended for a week and they vowed to never take future class`s on the D.C. trip)... does this sacrifice give me a leg up for week 67 honors? THAT WAS AN EXCELLENT REPORT SMARTP.  CONGRATS!!

Thanks, Brian.  Thanks, HeHate.  By the way . . . what was it that got you suspended for an entire week?

Re: Post of the Week – “Smartpig”

SmartP. - Actually, it was a number of infractions. On the bus ride to D.C., a group of us in the back of the bus were put on report for gambling(poker) and failing to cease play when requested to do so. If I recall, I was taking a beating, so in hindsight, it would have been in my best interest if I would have listened. After a night of drinking, I refused to get off the bus the following morning when we visited George Washington`s home over in VA. Also, three friends and I invited a few fellow female classmates to our room for beer and strip poker. This event ended up attracting many visitors. Unfortunately for us, one ended up being a teacher whom busted it up late in the evening. Later that evening, we decided to take one of those large album covers that were common in that era and filled it up with shaving cream, olive juice, this chocolate mix and other stuff and then scotch taped the open side together. Our hotel room doors had a small gap at the bottom which enabled us to place the taped end of the album just under this teachers door and then we stomped on it and took off. I never saw the result, but from what I was told, it splattered the walls inside his room pretty good. The one that got me good was our last evening in D.C. when some friends and I tossed our mattresses off our second story balcony and took turns swinging from our chandelier type light until it broke off. The above were just things that I was involved in. There were many other instances of hooliganism. My behavior was in no way indicative of the type of parenting I received, as I came from a strict yet fair household. This was a case of myself and others doing ignorant acts...acts that just can`t be written off to youthfulness. This field trip certainly did not reveal some of my finer moments and I was lucky that it did not impede the furthering of my education.

Re: Post of the Week – “Smartpig”

Thanks, Hehate.  Sounds like quite a trip.  I'm surprised, though, that you made it past the strip poker incident.  Had I done that on my high-school trip I think I would have been shipped home straight away.

I just have that hunch that SmartP. had enough common sense back then not to put himself in that situation to begin with.

Re: Post of the Week – “haltz”

Congrats Sawatski on a job well done. Little jealous here though....Sawatski takes home the prize with a grand total of 3 posts and Diz and I have about 5000 posts and have never even sniffed this prize. Maybe Diz and myself should co-author a thread that would knock your socks off....but that would probably be the week that DoubleJ writes his masterpiece and we`d finish out of the money.

Well, I have been mostly a reader for the better part of two years.  I am not usually moved to write.  Most of you have a much better read on the body of available stats that apply to situations.

I should point out that I had about 25 posts on the old board, but I guess I started over on this one.
