Barney won the Fielding Bible Award at 2B. That's overall MLB, not just NL.

I hope Pads is on to something with this shift thing. Pretty sure, I've tried to put it out of my mind, and I am old and confused, His uncle is Dog the Bounty Hunter, believe it or not. My appologies if I am remembering incorrectly.

RE: 2012 NL Gold Gloves
I'm thinking of what my dream team of Golden Glovers might look like?
C - Tie between Yadi and Johnny with a tip of the cap to Yogi.
P - "Sudden" Sam McDowell or Greg Maddux possibl
1st - Mark Grace
2nd - Stumped......Robby Alomar possibly?
SS - Oz.
3rd - Brooks Robinson
Outfielders(3) - Willie Mays, Jimmy Ballgame and .....maybe a Paul Blair?

In a radio interview with Pat Hughes (Cub announcer) in 2011 I believe, he was saying that eventually the Cubs will switch Barney and Starlin Castro, with Barney moving to short and Castro to second, because Barney is a much better defensive player. I was surprised by that comment, and the Cubs obviously haven't done anything about it yet so who knows.

Bill Maszroski or Joe Morgan Yes Yes! I like your 3 outfielders better than mine, HH. How could I forget about The Great One(Roberto)??? I was very young at the tail end of his career, but I do faintly recall his game. Maz at 2nd was supposedly a dandy as well.

Re: 2012 NL Gold Gloves
Javier was as good a second baseman as Mazeroski, although his style was diffferent.
As for pitchers, the two best fielding pitchers of all time have to be Jim Kaat and Bob Gibson.

Best outfielder i ever saw play was Ellis Valentine. He was incredible. Bench close to Molina but not quite. Honorable mention. Aparicio, Michael Jack ,Keith Hernandez(before the straw), Vizquel and Benny Santiago.
GO CARDS!
