I think we are to receive a player in trade that sent Greene to Houston unless there is just some "future considerations" or small amount of cash to settle it out. We could use a AAA catcher to team with Audry Perez next year since Anderson will probably be gone via 6 yr free agency if he is outrighted as I expect. Also, Steven Hill will become a free agent if he is outrighted since it would be the second time.

Getting an upper level prospect from Houston is scary. Do they have a catcher we could use?

whatever we get from houston, it won't be upper level.

here is what i hope happens (could only happen with luhnow):
- we take the cash, but with a gentleman's agreement that we'll sweeten the pot for someone more useful. i mean that by giving up something in the range of spare parts, plus the cash back to houston, for a better prospect. for example, they give us 200k. we then turn around and trade reifer and salas (or you fill in the blank of whoever) plus the 200k toward a better prospect (maybe a A+,AA shortstop?)
