It's double fun when we win. The team we root for just won, and the instigators don't have any ammo. Poor guys. Maybe we'll lose tomorrow so you guys can have some fun.

Beautiful team win and it's especially great to see Rick Ankiel get the monkey off his back a bit! Our bullpen was awesome tonight!

Is that the definition of an easy evening: 1 pitch, 2 outs, 1 win for Motte.

That's a winner!  Great W.  It seams like an eternity since our last victory.
Three Stars:

1. Ankiel- 3/5, GW RBI, 2R (out of slump?)
2. Molina- 3/4, BB, R, 2 great defensive plays.  Would have been 1st star w/ out the killer GIDP to end the 6th.
3. McClellan- 2 shutout innings in relief, 1hit, 2K's.

I can't believe the nay-sayers call themselves Cardinals fans.

I've never seen any one of them celebrate a Cardinals victory (or anything good that happens to the team).

I think I'm breaking out that Delirium Tremens in celebration.  Seems like a good occasion.

No sign of Charlie guys. Is it a coincidence that as soon as the Cardinals take the lead, Charlie unplugs his computer? Is it safe to say....that dude would much rather see the Cardinals get their brains beat in so he can gloat about how he is right about all of the slugs on our team, and win a close game? Seriously. He comes on here when we're down 4-0 and bitches and moans. We tie it up and he goes silent. We take the lead and he unplugs the computer.

I'm sorry, but I will question the fandom of any person who would rather see the Cardinals lose to push their own agenda that we are tired of hearing about over and over again. Is there any doubt that that is not the case. He WANTS to see the Cardinals lose.

What a nice win, all things considered.

We would have won by five if Rasmus were starting, though...

Charlie is dousing his Putz jersey with everclear and lighting it on fire as we speak.

Ankiel absolutely gets the #1 star of the game....but if it were Rasmus in there he woulda went 5/5 with 3 homers and 2 doubles. Come on Tony whats your problem!

The sad thing is that the three Negative Nancy drive-by posters are still logged in. They are just speechless when the Cardinals are winning.

How could we possibly beat a team with a $60 million higher commitment to winning than we have?

Well you have the Dewitt haters. Which I can see where those people are coming from. Then you have the TLR haters. Which I sort of understand where they come from as well. Then you have guys like me who just enjoy the game and will call out everything and everyone associated with this team.

Great comeback win! I didn't think they had it in em but we got some lucky bounces and a great performance from the pen tonight. Kudos to the team and to everyone who contributed in the thread tonight. Bravo boys!

Very nice performance by the bullpen today.

4 IP, 1 H, 1BB, 3K  the win and a save

McClellan and Franklin have been our best BP guys so far.  As long as we don't overuse them we should be in good shape.

Re: April 21st | Mets vs. Cardinals | 7:15 CDT

I love watching the game and then checking these threads to see how they progressed. Those of you who follow the threads during the game are right, Charlie, Nate and co. are never posting while things are going well for the Cardinals. Charlie couldn't shut up while the Mets were up, passing out the "kool-aid" comments left and right. As soon as the Cards started scoring, he disappeared.

Nice game, good to see Ankiel get a few hits and the bullpen looked pretty good. Wellemeyer was far from great, but any objective person could see he was not getting the pitch at the knees at all. Anyone who says differently is clearly a hater-aid drinker.

619, I don't have a problem with you calling someone out, because you also show support.  I just don't understand some of the posters always coming on and only speaking of the negatives.  I will speak on both sides but I am mostly a positive thinker when it comes to the Cardinals.

Very good beer man.  I hope you enjoy it.  There is a dark ale from the same brewer called  Delirium Nocturnum that I think is even better if you get a chance to try it.

Great win for the Cards!  This really gets the bad taste out of my mouth after the 2 losses to the Cubs.
