We should be able to beat all three of those starters.
Let's get the sweep and secure 4th place and who knows.......maybe try to get back to .500.

He used up his good start last time out. Now we're due for about 9 bad ones.

It's June....it's WAY too early to pack it in for a draft pick.
Especially in baseball.
A six game win streak and this season is suddenly different.
We're only half way through.
If we are 10+ games under .500 in August.......that's a different matter.

I'm sure we're all happy we didn't get first pick when Strasbourg and Harper were drafted

I'm not being pessimistic, I'm being a realist. What's the point of continuously being mediocre, given this teams drafting woes. Sure number one overalls are also busts (Matt bush) but teams like ray's Astros nationals are all stacked with talent whereas the padres are continuing the cycle of mediocrity. This team has the worst offense in MLB history and I'm hard pressed to believe the rotation can stay healthy which in turn is eating up the bullpen. Cashner isn't reliable for a full season we still are weary of Ross seemingly every prospect has been or is currently injured only reliable person I suppose is Kennedy

I like you are always the optimist Mr. P.   Even as negative and frustrated we get here, all have to be optimist just to keep our sanity and stay Padre fans.  At this point a six game win streak is a big goal.  I would take winning two series in a row. biggrin

If you want to give up in June that's your prerogative.
Me....I'm not gonna watch every game and hope we lose them.

I hope he is good tonight and continues to be so for the rest of the season.  Then maybe his value goes up to make him tradeable. Same goes with Headley.

Venable! Look a three strikes then let a ball go right over your head! He knows first pick

The Rays minor league system is actually pretty much barren.  Their window has basically closed.

Maybe it's best that certain franchises merge. I'm thinking if the Padres, Rays, D-Backs, and White Sox merge together they might produce a watchable team.

Considering the fact the rays have even relevant the past couple of years I would gladly trade that for our seemingly great farm system which can't stay healthy

That was one the most pathetic double plays hit into I have ever seen.  I would love for Fowler do a Ray Kroc and get on the PA and say what Ray said.

Buddy just stands there with no emotion on Venable's bonehead running.  #5 hitter, what a joke.
