I guess the only thing I'm curious about is what kind of patch they will add to the uniforms to honor Tony

Re: Seattle Mariners @ San Diego Padres (June 18 - 19)

Looks like the Padres are trying for the record of the most different line-ups during a 162 game schedule … today's is odd by any logic against Hernandez (RHP):

1. Smith RF
2. Denorfia CF
3. Quentin LF
4. Headley 3B
5. Grandal 1B
6. Rivera C
7. Cabrera SS
8. Amarista 2B
9. Cashner P

Two LH bats out of the line-up against a RH pitcher (Venable and Alsonso) and Cabrera batting 7th. Will not make a difference but don't see the logic. Maybe the FO stat guys are spitting this out of their computers.

Black has Denorfia playing against a RHP and in CF. That is surprising.

He loves Headley in the four hole.  The clean up man that bunts with no one on base.

I had no problem with that. There was a bit of a shift on, and Headley was trying to beat it with a bunt down the line. Honesty I don't know why that doesn't happen more often against the shift, especially with our crappy offense. Sometimes all it takes is a few dink hits like that to suddenly get things rolling.

Man, Kate Osborn is cute as hell, but she just can't seem to handle the whole "live TV" thing all that well.

I sure hope they sell those BP hats with Tony's number on em that the team is wearing tonight for the game. I love those hats and have yet to pick one up. That would provide me with the perfect opportunity.

Padres won!  The hitting is still gruesome, but what else did we expect.

You know back in the day of MLB 2k10 and below, the best trick was to just consisently bunt.  If the Padres just go up there and do nothing but bunt, they are bound to get as many hits and possibly more runs than they are now

One of the runs scored was a gift due to the wild pitch, but they did manage to win a game on a night they were honoring Gwynn's memory so that was nice

Tonight they will get back to losing which hopefully will lead to some firings next week

Re: Seattle Mariners @ San Diego Padres (June 18 - 19)

Argh!
I hate when we sacrifice bunt like that!
Venable is fast enough that he's gonna take second on almost anything that happens to Cabrera other than a strikeout.....so why give up an out?
I'd rather he just try to steal than give up an out.
This team is just NOT good enough to give up outs!
Period.
Venable would score from first on a 2b,3b,or a HR.
He could advance to 2nd in many other ways.
Why take the bat out of Cabreras hands?

Prospect I'm Championing.........Jordan Paroubeck
