That's a lot of altitude on the hill for game 1.

C Y !  May get that no-hitter today.  If he is through 3-4 innings I'm rooting for him!

I was at that game a few years ago.  That was the most depressing win Ive ever seen.  I thought I would witness history, instead it was another near miss

What made it even worse was that it was goddamn Joe Randa, who had just recently done absolutely nothing for us as a mid-season acquisition. Thanks, Joe!

I'm gonna post this here instead of the Tony thread because it's negative, but my god do I want to punch Mike Pomeranz in the face. I don't know if he's trying to fake emotion in his voice or if he's just struggling to keep it at a level somewhere below his usual obnoxious volume, but either way... man, just get out of here. So tired of him.

Tonys passing just makes me realize even more how terrible their approaches are. Headley has a fat pitch out corner but trying to swing for the fences strikes out. Alonso gets a fat pitch down the middle he dips and fouls it off

I think this is the first walk off home run in the first inning in mlb history

This is looking like another easy loss tonight

Wonder if there has ever been a worse Padre season to deal with?

Considering this offense is tracking to be the worst in major league history and that we've lost both Jerry and Tony, I'm not sure it'll ever be possible to have a worse season than this.

This team makes want to claw my eyes out. Get this sh*t over so I can watch the Tony Tribute of Fox Sports.

one more inning and the padres get shut out and 4 hitted. Chris Young, mr cy young reincarnate, dominated that hapless ones. Sorry to see tony go.

I'd love to know how many of these runs the Padres score have scored in the 9th inning...it infuriates me that these guys START hitting when they've made 20+ outs already.

I thought maybe this team would come out fighting in the memory of Tony. Instead this offense shows how utterly feeble they are. 3 and 1/2 more moths of this. They don't even make hard outs.

Raise your hand if you knew this game was over when Ross gave up the 3 run homer in the first inning.

Padres will be memorized by chris young's heat and baffled by his mighty curve ball. Madres get 4 hitted in a 5-1 loss. Another soft tosser dominates the AAAA developmental club
