This seems like an important game. Remember how last night was a must-win? This is even more of a must-win, but not as much as tomorrow night.

Huge series this weekend. Can't help but think of this going in to this series: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LOROWhs6T0#t=128

Have to imagine the Angels are pretty stoked he's not here anymore.

Yeah, the A's really have to show up tonight.

Otherwise, they would forfeit and potentially be liable to ticketholders.

If' the A's originally had Lester and traded him for Cespedes, we could argue that the Angels are now stoked not to have to face Lester.

Both good players, Lester is, IMO, a significantly better one (especially as a thrower, albeit differently).

Quiz: Who are the top 5 A's (including pitchers) in fWAR in the second half thus far?

Without looking, I'm going to guess that Reddick and Fuld are the other two.

That didn't take long!  Reddick (1.2) and Fuld (0.8) are correct.

Imagine that in June someone told you the A's five best producers in the second half would include Sogard, Reddick, and Sam Fuld.

What's the Angels font there, is that Arial?  How dreadful.  And look at the A's classy-ass serif fonts.  A's already won the lineup print-out game.

Yeah, that .298 career OBP and high strikout numbers had them shaking in their boots.  Almost as intimidating as his regularly scheduled fielding mistakes which were camoflaged by his occasional great throws.

I agree, but you have to admit that throw was one of the highlights of the A's season.

I'm more offended by the underlining of "Line-Up" and "Pos" when the column headers are already separated by a line from the list elements than I am by the font.

This is what I love from this board. It's been missing for a long time amidst the doom and gloom of a playoff bound season.

It's a small issue, but the A's should stop batting their 6th/7th best hitter in the 2nd spot.  A team's best hitter should generally bat 2nd.
