Sacramento was home yesterday so Freiman probably made it to Oakland late in the day on Saturday.

If the A's can win this game and Anaheim loses today, I'll consider it a successful start to the post-Cespedes era.

Unfortunately, Jake Odorizzi went all Hammel on us this morning and gave up a 5-spot in the first vs. Angels.

Freiman was scratched from the River Cats lineup last night so he probably made it to Oakland last night, there are advantages for day games.

however Crisp was taking batting practice today so there is some improvement there as well.

It's a 4-game series and I think the Jays won one of them already. Nonetheless, the Astros are playing good ball right now.

I don't think they have this many wins last year until closer to September.

another double play in the second and Royals go quietly.

Here is something that will bug people, Tommy Milone could pitch against the A's this week when Minnesota comes to town

1 run in 40 innings I think, taking out the 6 and 8 run outbursts.

And its not like Shields is making good pitches. Callaspo had a bad at bat there swinging at a ball off his shoelaces. It pretty much has to do with the approach they are taking and swinging at bad pitches right now.

However Moss did beat the shift in houston I think.

I have to believe Billy is doing all he can to get a right handed - waiver deal bat. If he's going all in ... I have to imagine he sees the problem here.

OMG Kazmir has given up 5 hits to a horrible Royals team. He is having such a bad day on the mound he's not going to help us in the playoffs.

No hitter alert.

I'd just like to throw that out there because I've never seen one and is like to keep that going
