Gameday 6/28/14 Miami

I guess everyone's outside enjoying their summer weekend.

A's & Marlins locked 6-6 in the 11th and today we discovered Doolittle isn't invincible after all.

Still only 1 BB for Doolittle on the season though.

A's just aren't stringing the hits together

I guess it's ride or die with Johnson at this point. And he can't throw a strike.

And he's lost the strike zone. This is what happens way too often.

Thank you JD. And Johnson defended it with an AB. I guess it's three for him.

Well, props to JJ for being the long man today & coming through, and even Francis for doing the job he was assigned.

????  That was a clutch performance by Johnson today.  A well deserved win for him.

A's go to 20 over and are the best team in baseball.  Let's see what kind of mainstream coverage they get.  And after we see how little, we can conclude that this is the sports version of what's exactly wrong with capitalism.  The outlets only cover the teams that get the most clicks.  More clicks = more money.  Instead of covering reality and the most exciting story, the mainstream sports media covers money.  Just like our news media and most other mediums of learning and culture.  Yet we continue to collectively wonder why we're all idiots.  The second we have any kind of press, culture and centers of learning that are focused on reality and not making dollars is the second the public will be empowered.  sleepingcobra out.  <drops the mic>

Overall, I dont disagree. But in fairness I have a hard time getting on a reliever in his 3rd inning of work. What did he give up? A broken bat flare. A FC that could have been a double play. A dribbler against the shift that would be an out in a normal defense. And then a walk when he was on fumes. I'm all for sending him out based on overall performace, but I'm not gonna bag on him today just because his name is Jim Johnson. He did a great job, saved our ass and got a win. I tip my hat gladly.

You're right. Just got frustrated by the long game ... and him struggling after we finally took the lead.  It just never seems to fail this year.

Jane Lee @JaneMLB
Reddick will have an MRI in the morning.

Jane Lee @JaneMLB
Reddick says pain is very similar, if not more, than when he first injured it this month. Hoping for good news from MRI.

This doesn't sound good. Sucks for Reddick who actually has been hitting well since coming back having gone 5/11 with 3 walks in 4 games while again playing great defense.

Did he do something? Or was it just a cumulation?
