lowrie since may has completely sucked as a hitter since may. one could argue A's might have the worst hitting middle infield in the league

1-5 better score, because after that, it's not pretty.

May was pretty bad, but in June, Lowrie hasn't been as bad as the numbers look. His contact has been good, and he has had some extraordinarily bad luck while scorching the ball. I don't know if it's fielders being positioned perfectly, or just really lousy luck. But the last two-three weeks, he's hit the ball well with nothing to show for it.

He hasn't hit a hr in nearly a month, so he's not hitting the ball that hard.  You're talking about a guy who has hit 15 and 16 hrs the last 2 years, so he has pop when going well, so there's more than just bad luck going on.

The 5th spot in the rotation is cursed.

Welcome back, Josh Reddick.  His arm and his defense have already made themselves felt.

Yup. Every ball hit to Vogt out there made me feel Reddick's absence.

Wouldn't it be amazing if Josh could get back to his 2012 first half form? It's crazy how scouting catches up with guys weakesses. I would take .240/25/80 with a .780 OPS.

No RBI for Mills but, he put it in play and got a runner home from 3rd with less than 2 outs, something that doesn't always happen with the "real" A's hitters.
