I believe one more win and 13 straight winning months for the A's.

Red Sox making Milone work. Taking lots of pitches and making Milone work deeper in the strike.zone than he wants to. He's not sharp with his command and they're making him pay. 3-0 and they've hit some balls hard

Callaspo RBI double, then Blanks thrown out at home later in the inning. 3-1 Red Sox after two innings.

Re: 6/22/14 Red Sox Sweep Edition

Blanks hurt himself running the bases.  May have saved Sogard a roster spot when Reddick comes back, at least temporarily, assuming Blanks needs to go on DL.

Blanks already was hurting with a calf injury.

Damn, that stings! We go from a dissapointing one run to giving it back on bad D.

I wanted to sweep these clowns.

Red Sox pull off a double steal with Norris missing the tag at home to score a run.

4-1 after 2 and a half innings.

Blanks who has been suffering from calf tightness for most of the week now out of the game replaced by Moss.

Re: 6/22/14 Red Sox Sweep Edition

Punto is worse than I expected.  I liked picking him up, but he's giving the a's nothing.  It's one thing not to hit, and he hasn't, but he's making too many mistakes on defense for my liking.

Yep, but at least he could play, and had a nice hit.  Today he made it worse to the point that he can't go anymore, and unfortunately we lost his right handed bat in this game.  Maybe Mossman will give us a couple of bombs. :)

I think we're gonna need a better 2nd baseman to win it all.

Re: 6/22/14 Red Sox Sweep Edition

Punto has come up with some hits at .236 which is only behind Callaspo's .240 average so I think he has served his purpose as they were expecting him to be gang busters when they signed him.

However quiet inning for the A's base hit from Lowrie then double play by Cespedes.

End of three 4-1 Red Sox.

Re: 6/22/14 Red Sox Sweep Edition

The A's aren't a second baseman from winning the World Series. To me could be more of a mental thing but they do need to field better definetly.

Solo homerun from Napoli. 5-1 Red Sox

Most runs Milone has given up since May 3rd also against the Red Sox.
