I like Taylor getting a chance. He was scorching hot so see of it carries over. Sometimes I wonder if he just needs regular abs to hit. He may never hit terribly well but at least he can go up to his potential.

Yeah, I really don't want to see the Tigers again. Maybe change the thread title to Astros?

I wish Bedard pitched for the Tigers instead of Verlander.................

Interesting to see Norris so high, but hey he's been stinging the ball. Love to see another sweep.

After this weekends pair of losses and a foot away from still playing Friday's game, I'll just take a win tonight and go from there.

The pre-2012 A's fan in my head is afraid of the Astros somehow sweeping us at home.

Time for a classic Tommy Tutone Coliseum start.

Lets get a series win here. Sweep would be nice, but it is still a MLB team that has been winning some games lately.

Exactly. Win the series, and head to Tampa with a breeze of confidence.

Apologies for the off-topic post here, but do any of you fine folk use the Twitter machine? Wouldn't mind following more baseball people. My feed is 95% NHL related as of now.

Great to see Melvin showing some confidence in Norris. Norris's play is one of the bright spots for me so far this season. He looks comfortable at the plate and behind it, similar to when he first came up last season. I really think he was worn out and overwhelmed towards the end of last season, but this year the addition of Jaso should keep both of them fresh.

I see norris as a potential core player more than reddick. reddick's plate approach is too flawed and his lack of making adjustments. 3 yrs in a row norris ranked having the best power and on base ability in the nats system. Would be nice if norris, taylor, and freiman take advantage tonight. A's need to build up those 2nd tier offensive players to make this lineup even deeper.

I'd say Susan Slusser, Casey Pratt, and Melissa Lockard/Oakland Clubhouse are must follows for any A's fans. I like following Olney and Rosenthal too. Few of the A's players are good to follow too.

Strained muscle in his left hand. Went sliding into 2nd awkwardly (after a strange call that prevented him from being at 2nd already) Friday night against Detroit. Stayed down on the infield dirt for a long period of time, but eventually remained in the game to play defense; was pinch-hit for during his next PA, and DL'd the the next day.
