Burnett P Postseason lineup vs LHP pitching right there?
In baseball, you can't kill the clock. You've got to give the other man his chance. That's why this is the greatest game.

That's right, today's game is in the afternoon start. What a crazy September schedule this has been.

It's been a while since I threw out an in-game trivia question...Let's try one.
Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig were team mates for a decade. How many times did they each hit a home run in the same inning during the games they played together???

let me be the first today to sarcastically post the entry called the "oh no, we never beat left-handed pitchers that we have never faced before...we're gonna lose"....

"I want to end the diary saying something to the fans of Boston. I just want to say I'm sorry for the year I've had. You guys have been really supportive and I appreciate that. Hopefully when we get into these playoffs, I can be the real Carl Crawford that I know I am. We'll see." http://espn.go.com/blog/boston...he-year-ive-had

Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig were team mates for a decade. How many times did they each hit a home run in the same inning during the games they played together??? probably less than one would think.........my reasoning? Ruth cleared the bases.....first base is open...Gehrig gets pitched to very carefully.. I am going to go "low"........I will guess 2 times..

Jeets with the leadoff single to center and Grandy with the blast 2-0 early. Lefty we've never seen before who?

Finding good trivia...answerable, but head-scratching...is hard to do in the internet age... I have this "baseball trivia" calendar that my parents got me a gift last year (they know I am a sucker for stuff like that) and some of the questions are very easy but some are really interesting. If I come across a Yankee one I will try to remember to post it up. I was surprised I was able to find the answer to your question but it wasn't easy!

5-1 Baltimore Top 4...Boston can score in a hurry but this does not look good for the BoSox.

Don't give me too much credit for not cheating.........sometimes you don't cheat because you don't know how

I would not pitch AJ against good teams. He reminds me when we had Brown. Both never learn to live with a fastball that no longer topped 96 mph.

Re: Game #152 - Twins vs. Yanks
Since Gehrig is a part of the in-game trivia question today, it's a good time to mention that during his streak, he played through a fractured thumb, a fractured toe, recurring back spasms...and...after he retired...x-rays are said to have revealed that he had sustained 17 hand fractures, presumably all while playing baseball...He was a tough hombre...
