Willingham and Arcia at it again as Twins nip Brewers again. Amazing how those two guys have really re-energized the lineup.

Agreed.

They've both been great since coming back.

Haha - did you see the slow-motion swing at the curve-ball in which he knew Smith had him completely fooled?  Man, it was awesome how he was laughing at himself and then the pitcher goes back and throws the EXACT pitch and Arcia was able to drive in Willingham with that decisive 2-out hit (AND HOW ABOUT THAT HAIRCUT?? tongue).

Crazy play also with Willingham getting impeded from the pitcher on his way to the plate, causing him to tumble over the line, crossing the plate.

Nolasco was very good for us for 6 innings - and we'll need him should we make a run.  That 7th was a bit of a tragedy and completely out of the blue.  Fien and Perk - nice work to finish up without dramas.

TWINS WIN!

Hard to believe the Twins at 4 behind are closer to first place than the Orioles who are 4 1/2 behind. Detroit has hit a bump in the road, allowing the rest of the division to stay close. If the Twins had a rotation, they would actually be contenders this year, so far.

Perkins is quietly putting together a solid season.  Sure, there have been some games in which he as made the final innings more interesting than they should be, but more often than not, he has been getting the job done.  He is now tied for the league lead in saves, has a respectable 3.08 ERA, is sporting a miniscule 0.99 WHIP and boasts a .210 opponent's batting average.  Assuming he keeps this pace up, I would certainly hope that he would make the All-Star team this year.
