Had some time on my hands, what can I say?  tongue

Look at the two lineups, look at the two pitchers... tell me, what chance do you think we have?

I WILL be watching, though... wth, it's an addiction and I suppose I'll be a Twins fan to my dying day, despite our boob for a manager, a brain-dead GM and tight owners...

So far, Profar hit one so far - upper deck shot to right and Darvish is having his way with us.

2-0 Rangers after 4.5 innings.

Well, Chris Herrmann makes Darvish pay dearly for walking the lead-off man.  Twins up 3-2 now off the back of Morneau's drive.

Twins 13-6 against Western division foes this year - in the hard to believe category, and again, holding their own.

Still enjoying that monster shot by Morneau, but Plouffe has GOTTA slide on anything somewhat close - that's a disgrace and part of the problem is the on-deck guy, Mastroianni, who doesn't signal for Trevor to get his butt down sliding, as there is a throw coming in... (WAKE UP, AMIGO - YOU'RE PLAYING A BASEBALL GAME!).

And THAT, my friends, is why we play the game.

Hendriks with the win and Darvish with the loss - how often do we get to say something like this?

wish I could say the same about the Red Wings who are busy pi$$ing this season away with some of the worst play I've seen this side of Tom Nieto.

RE: Twins @ Rangers - August 30 - GAME THREAD!

Twins are deader than last years doornails. It will be painful to have to watch the last month with the team struggling so. I see major changes in the future, starting with the manager and even the GM. Then the pitching staff has to be overhauled and the lineup needs to be strengthened.
Anyone they call up from Rochester will instantly become a defensive liability. Escobar and Romero in particular have been simply brutal in the field. Dangerously so.
Probably our best player right now is Jim Beresford....exceeding all expectations. You called up Pinto and he can hit but his 'd' is weak. Richardson is a sparkplug but has a very weak arm. Olmedo is not a prospect and neither is Clement and as of now neither is Parmelee anymore. Fryer is a AAA catcher. Looks like a lot of the Twins future rests in A and AA right now.

I thought we had some decent relief pitchers ready to go. Everyone of them right now can't throw strikes or get outs. The pens collective failures over the past two weeks are epic....and if we can't make up that one game in the next two days...it will be easy to point the finger at when it all came unglued. (hint: 6-1 9th inning lead with one out.........)
