I'd go so far to say that I'm glad for him that he's healthy, but for his sake and the sake of Joe-fan, I'd have loved to see him spend some more time at AAA and work on his swing.

Has a double already.

I agree he could use some more seasoning, but he's done alright at the major league level so far and has improved a ton since first coming up, so I think he's somewhat earned the privilage to be in the show.

You can think of it like this:  He has the very worst numbers in all of baseball among regular players.

That said, I'm hoping like h-e-double hockey sticks that he proves himself (and me wrong), but his at-bat in the bottom of the 4rth is more what I'm used to seeing...

Clearly no one cared one bit that he didn't accomplish anything in Rochester except to play everyday. 4-21 (and 1 for his last 17 didn't impress me much) The kid has talent; I will maintain he was rushed up too quickly. He may yet put together a decent 2nd half. And as a Twins fan I hope he does.

another embarrassment. All the Twins have to do is show up and they lose to the Yankees. It really looks like this may be the beginning of the inevitable slide to the AL Central basement...team has not looked healthy for some time now.

Hicks up because Willingham is pretty much done...for a couple of months at least...and with this kind of surgery don't be surprised if he can't come back at all this season. So, no corresponding move to the Red Wings. (however a rehabbing player doesn't take up a roster spot anyway) IMHO Hicks is not the answer for the slumping Twins. Some are calling for Colabello...who interestingly is suffering thru his first real slump of the season. Not making good contact--striking out too much....(still hitting .360 though) Richardson is also slumping for the first time as a Wing. Actually right now, the whole team is slumping...losing 4 straight before finally beating the hapless Chiefs in game two last night.

The recent stats on Burton and Duensing are pathetic. Can't believe Gardy has continued to use Burton like he has. Now he says he won't use either in 'pressure situations'. Nice Gardy...but the Twins are quickly removing any and all 'pressure situations' from their repertoire this season as they continue their slide to the basement. The team definitely is flat-lining. Deduno pitched well again...but got so hitting or bullpen support. thanks Twins for heating up the Yankees, just in time for them to face Baltimore again this weekend.....

All in all--the Twins just look plain lousy right now. Even Joe M isn't getting it done.
