another day another loss for the Wings

another day another loss for the Wings

This terrible team already looks like they have mailed it in, Today in extra innings Wings lose 5-2...as they surrendered a 3 run Hr in the 11th. But the thing is, this team collectively  can't hit worth a damn. They lead the IL in HR's...and thats not good because more than half the runs they have scored have been on HR's. They can't generate any kind of 'regular' scoring and frankly---they can't generate anything. 2-8 after 10 games. Worst start in I can't tell you how many years.
Benson continues to stink.

Don't know what to say. The team is flat out horrible in every way. Don't know if Glynn needs to kick ass about now....but they aren't responding to anything.

Isnt this something we arent even halfway through April and sure looks like we very well may have 1 of the worst teams in the Majors and AAA. What does that tell you? What a mess!!!! Maybe Gardy cant get out of here quick enough, everyone seems to think he will have a job very quickly and he very well may, probably better for him and the Twins, too bad for Bruno but Twins very well could fire entire staff bring in someone else and let them hire whom they want. I like Bruno a lot but really thus far he hasnt proven much, Twins are really sucking hitting, the cold is one thing but other teams play in the cold as well. Going to be a very long year Twins and Wings fans.

Congrats insagt you lose one of your contributors in Arcia whom is getting the call and replacing Ramirez for 3 days while out for paternity leave. Dont see that it will matter much though not that the Wings will win anyway. Should be interesting come June-July how many players the Twins move thus stripping more players from a terrible AAA team.

wow--we lose him and don't even get Hicks back? Normally I'd be really pissed at the Twins...but this team is so bad, it doesn't matter. I mean, they are REALLY that bad. Maybe the Twins can sign someone from the Beer League to replace Arcia.
I will predict that they will rue the day they traded both Revere and Span and got that treasure trove of talent in exchange.

That day should have been December 6, 2012 with TR saying to himself, 'omg, what did I just do??  Have I completely lost my mind or am I on drugs?  Please, I need to  be relieved by Billy Beane, anyone...'

I've seen some real dumb moves made (including landing free agents like Sid Ponson, Ruben Sierra, Tony Batista, etc... and the latest soon to be dud Kevin Correia) and absolute HORRIBLE trades, including JJ Hardy for trash, but the Ben Revere trade never made sense to me and you hit the nail on the head:  We got two very "unimpressive" pitchers...

PLEASE, please, prove me wrong... some folks think Vance Worley could be our "ace" but dude isn't worth to carry Scott Baker's jockstrap (or even Carl Pavano's).  And anyone who thinks Trevor May will ever help us, I'm flat out calling them delusional.

but, but, but... as stupid as these bone-headed or at the very least VERY UNIMAGINATIVE moves made in the off-season were and are, the stupidity is actually exceeded by some that blindly supported TR's body of work in the winter as genious and thinking we're not only going to compete in 2013, but possibly contend for a pennant in 2015?  Are you kidding me??  Remember the theme to Dragnet?  Dumd de dumb dumb... dumb de dumb dum DUMB!

I'm not even sure where the 'rebuilding' is this year? will be interesting to see what Arcia does. given the lack of depth, if he can hit, even a little, he will probably stay up and they will have to send Hicks down. Because the Twins have lost some important everyday players, they are forced to rush some kids up...and that rarely ever works. Dozier is hanging on by a froghair because his 'd' has been OK..but he's not a major leaguer yet either.

As for what is left at AAA, you saw the stats I posted. Its an embarrassment how lacklustre and unmotivated the Red Wings are right now. Pawtucket went out and won those 4 games while the Wings sat back and just let things happen. I don't know what is wrong with Slama--but don't be surprised if he suddenly lands on the DL. Outside of our starter yesterday, not one single pitcher has done his job yet.

10 games---its still early, I know. But really, do you really want to get off to a 2-8 start and look so bad doing it?

Its supposed to be 70 degrees in Rochester today...a very nice spring day. I predict the ballpark will be just about empty tonite. they will announce around 2,300 but actual people in the stands might be around 100.
