OK--A Slight Diversion

OK--A Slight Diversion

WE interrupt this doom and gloom report of our last place Twins to announce that there will be NHL hockey this year afterall. a 48 game or maybe a 50 schedule to begin in around 10 or so days.

This whole lockout was a disgrace through and through. It was good to hear Ryan Miller say as much when interviewed by WGRZ in Buffalo today. The NHL owes the fans plenty. I wonder what they will do. The fans have been played too many times by these buffoons. While I miss NHL hockey (still have our AHL team so we haven't been without the game in Rochester), I have no respect at all for everyone involved in this debacle.

Have they 'fixed' things? HAH! Only until the next agreement comes up for renewal. then the greed mongers will be out in full force again. ohlord

How long is the agreement for? Looking forward to seeing a different sport in ESPN's Top 10 besides basketball and football (really who likes seeing dunks as top plays, especially when 98% of the league can dunk).
Meyer and May will be top of the rotation starters by 2015.

Of course you realize that ESPN hates the NHL. since they don't have the contract, they pretend it doesn't exist. Therefore we get basketball coming out our noses. So many teams, so many conferences--just too much to keep track of.

However, my bias shows. I dislike the sport generally and have never gotten into college hoops even a little. I went to college in Canada...thus BB was as much of an afterthought there as college hockey is here (except in small regional pods of interest)

Hockey was actually growing two-three years ago...now they just set themselves back a decade....

10 year contracts are just stupid.
Losers whine about their best...... Winners go home and        %##%# the prom queen.
