Sick... I'd have thought we could have offered him something similar and he'd be worth it.  Hope TR has a better plan that I don't know about...

I don't think anyone knows what his "plan" is...

Pretty sad that he chose to go to an even worse team then the Twins. If Scott Baker says no to signing with the Twins, that can only mean someone better then him won't be coming here either unless we trade for them...and even then Terry Ryan doesn't have the balls to do such a move.

The sick thing is that we were trying to secure him for that second year and he wanted to re-establish himself and his value in 2013 and wanted the one year deal. 

We could have EASILY given him what he wanted and both parties come out winners... instead, we're looking at yet another glaring hole that will need to be filled to be competitive next year.  By no means is TR's job easy at this point and it certainly means we will have to spend a fair bit more money to fill the shoes of an equivalent of a Scott Baker...
