Dodgers @ Cardinals 7/18 - 7/20

Dodgers simply could not capitalize last night. I like our chances these last two games.
Go Dodgers!

Well we thought we got the Haren of the second half of 2013 vs first half..guess not?
If he does not improve soon, we do not want to have him next yr.

Greinke is due for a good 1 run or less game..we are not hitting ball  well.
We need Kelly not to be sharp today....................put some stress on their bully  for kershaw game.

I don't understand how Dodger brass can continualy bypass one of the top CF prospects in baseball for a couple of players that are not only playing out of position but are struggling with the bat.

Last year it could've been Pederson who was called up instead of Puig. Imagine if it was Puig instead of Pederson who was stuck in the minors this season?

Colletti is not good gm..he has handled the OF situation very badly and has hurt the team. We have plenty of excess Of in system. More than any team by far..when a team has excess and holes GM should act.

Colletti should have traded Ethier in may when Joc showed he could be a real thing .Then we would have had kemp, puig, crawford or SVS in MLB..more than enough. When Crawf. gets injured ...no problem..Joc could have come up and got some valuable ABs.
All OF are having bad yrs and some of that is caused by inconsistant play which is caused by Colletti design of excess OF. Kemp surprised Colletti by being ready than expected but after he saw kemp play he still did not act. The fact we have SVS in CF is a joke and says that we should/could have easily traded Ethier in May when his trade value was highest.

The 3 most talented OF are Puig, Kemp and Joc ( by potential)...Crawford is next, SVS and Ethier are about the same now.

We have a big mess..and  anyone with a brain could have anticipated the issues. Ethier has to be traded NOW for a prospect or RP. to make it 4 Of...(still a JocP problem). We will lose out on any decent deal because Colletti waited too long (May) and Ethier declined in production( last 2 months)...but we have do something vs nothing.

Talk about stuck...how about Chris Reed!!!
The guy has pitched 3.00 ball in AA best of all our SP talent not   named Urias. Any other team in MLB would have brought the guy up ( since he has to be put on 40 man anyway in nov) to be a SP filler !
To make things worse, Reed was a college closer and we have had major problems in SU that Reed could have helped with - but no sign of Reed but instead colletti  rotates 3-4 guys who are less talented.excited

Colletti is a poor GM..he does not use $$ or talent wisely. The team needs a shakeup..and an infusion of talent. Personally, I'd trade Crawford an Ethier and tons of $$ ( which would save us $$ in short and long  haul) and bring up Joc.
Then Puig in RF, Joc in CF ..Kemp in LF and if kemp/Joc struggles SVS fills in for CF or LF or whoever struggles. Schebler looks like another decent OF in AA.

We would get back some talent for filling holes and given that we pay half $$ for Ethier and crawford. Magic should fire colletti for his incompetence in handling resources ( $$ and players).

Reed should be up here next week, challenging Haren for a spot and giving extra days to Ryu and Beckett.

We need a GM that wants to win vs sit on sidelines and hope things work out. I know we are not going to get rid of colletti but Magic etal should be pressing him.

The offense of the Los Angeles Dodgers act like rover the dog.  They roll over and play dead I think they will have a losing record

The Giants will win the National League West with a poor record also.

If Mattingly does not solve the poor offense he will be gone soon

Keep the razor blades away from that guy.

The Dodgers will figure it out, this is a small sample size. If you remember we took 3 out of 4 from the Cards at Dodger Stadium. Take you head out of the oven and relax.

Dodgers finally play some tough teams in next month so we hope to stay a few game over .500.
Kersh has to win today...martinez is not that good but ????
we need to score some runs..minimum 4-5 off martinez and crew today.
4-1 victory..would be nice.
some Hr from Hram and Kemp would make it better

Can we just move Zach Lee and Joc Pederson to the 40 man roster already? I don't get why they are not on it.

I believe, if Lee and Pederson are added to the 40 man roster -- the clock starts for team control.  And the longer they wait, the longer they hold that control.

But for us fans . . . the sooner the better.

Re: Dodgers @ Cardinals 7/18 - 7/20

Watching Matt Kemp -- he wants this and he wants that -- goals are great, demands might back fire.

But Matt Kemp is his worst enemy.  He just cannot swing very often where the ball is.  He lets many pitches go down the middle, he takes half swings, and then swings and misses a lot.

Matt has 1009 strikeouts in his career.  That is just toooooooo many.

I don't care what the ESPN guys say, it was past time that we hit a Cardinal.  It should have been done in the playoffs last year, throw in Puig yesterday, and it was the right thing to do.

Just the facts.

We are working on our 7th straight game without hitting a HR.

It's time.

Did we hit a Card? I think it's become more than a coincidence that the Cards keep hitting out best hitters. I think we should hit their best hitters for a while.

Re: Dodgers @ Cardinals 7/18 - 7/20

Yes, the first batter Kershaw faced after Hanley  nailed the first time was Matt Holliday.  1st pitch was a nice fastball to the rump.

Of course the Cards proceeded to do some more damage to Hanley later without repercussions.  From the look of it Hanley might have some damage to that hand now.

Just the facts.
