Well here's to hoping that Hendriks pitches the game of his life. I clinging to some hope that he may have some advantage since I doubt many of the Twinks have seen him before.

Does Ibanez have some sort of mad numbers against Hughes? Willingham out AGAIN bums me out. He actually works a count.

Not sure we can use "lack of familiarity" when Hendriks was pitching for the Twins last year. I'd imagine someone over there knows his stuff and the hitters have seen him pitch before

#Royals option Aaron Crow to AA-Northwest Arkansas to make room for tonight's starter Liam Hendriks. The roster expands on Monday.

Suck it, Crow.

This whole Ibanez thing is ridiculous.  I'm waiting for someone to ask Ned why Willingham isn't playing and for Ned to answer "That wouldn't be fair to Raul-y"

Hendriks needs to throw strikes and pray his defense plays well and they don't find to many holes. Twins won't swing anything until they have seen a strike and even then they are still trying to walk. This Ibanez love Ned has is beyond stupid. Doesn't this guy claim he loves hot hitters?

#royals couldnt option crow to omaha or would have had to wait 10 days to get him back. NWA season ends monday. He can return after that

5-9 (in 10 PA's) against him lifetime, 2 bombs and a walk.

Have to think Willingham's wrist must be hurting or something for him to sit 2 games, look terrible in his PA's last night, and be sitting again tonight. Im sure its something that will never get reported, but there has to be an issue with something health related.

It's been a while since I've gone into a Royals game expecting them to lose from pitch 1. Will be a strange sort of relief.

Seems weird to see Willingham sitting so much, after Glass had to "break the bank" to get him....

How could they survive without Crow for 10 days?

Toronto won all three of Hendriks' starts this season. If he can pitch tonight like he did in either of his first two starts this season, we'll have a good shot.

Will he be able to score in NWA?

Re: Gameday 8-27, Twinkies Series Game 2

I base my hope more on his performance at Omaha: 4-1, 2.83 with 1.11 WHIP 35 Ks, 6 BBs, and averaged 7 innings per start. Those are solid numbers. Hopefully, we can get some runs off Hughes and give Hendriks some breathing room. (On that, I'm not very hopeful.)
