I don't know why we are not starting Colon in favor of Moustakas. Or even moving Infante to DH to give him a break in the field. Lineup would be better with Colon in it, but it is debate whether to choose Kratz or Moose.

Would rather see Perez DH and Kratz catch.  Or Colon in there instead of Kratz or Moose.

id rather see Colon in there than Kratz. even if Colon is DH'ing and moose plays 3rd

Bumgarner has been pretty damn good lately so this will e a tough matchup

He has a rather loyal, loud fan base in Phillie -- his hope town........

Hope the Royals will realize the potential power asset they have in him.

Not only is he one of the strongest catchers in baseball (ask Chipper Jones), with a rifle of an arm (famous in Philly for throwing out runners from his knees), he's got tremendous power.... (ask Mike Schmidt, yes, the former Phillie slugger who thinks very highly of Kratz).

Alas, Kratz has always been behind somebody.... never quite had the chance to shine.

KC might want to consider him as a regular DH or pinch hitter -- with serious power."

Do we really need 13 pitchers?  Having only 3 bench players especially the ones we have is pretty pathetic.

This is really bothering a lot of people, and while I think the extra pitcher is unnecessary Ned isnt a guy that uses his bench a lot, so you really just have a pitcher that never pitches, or a position player that never plays. When put that way does it matter either way?

For injuries, yes, you can always place a pitcher in if they are injured, but you can't just sub anyone in for say catcher.

ok, but there is a backup catcher on the bench... The extra player wouldnt be a 3rd catcher it would be a another OF'er or infielder... Lets be honest though how often do players need to be replaced in game? not often... Its really just something to complain about not really meaningful

I ran into a White Sox fan at Spring Training a few years ago who told me how good of a player we got in Chris Getz. Just sayin... :-)

Yeah, that would be like a .430 average. I think he meant 99 hits in 463 ABs.

Somehow the Royals have a higher OPS than SF despite SF having several good hitters.
