Lester owns the Royals including have a career no hitter on them.  Lose today and that's a wrap on the 2014 season.  CLE already passed us in the divsion.

I think Aoki is intentionally loafing, he's not going to risk injury playing here in KC. I saw this guy play in Milwaukee, he was a completely different athlete, watch him turn back into that player for another team. Because Royals.

In their last 14 PAs with a RISP - going back to Friday night, the Royals are 0-12 with a walk and a SF.

and it was every bit as bad as that in the DET series.  they are just awful at the plate.  I wouldn't be surprised if Lester went for 9 IP, 3H and about 12 K's today against this punch and judy line-up.

Do yourselves a favor and don't bother watching. Check the score later and expect us to be down 8-1 and be pleasantly surprised if it's closer than that.

Maybe if they actually did something right we wouldn't complain?

Gotta think 3 runs is plenty for Boston today.

Nothing like opening the post break by getting swept by a last place team. I've watched about 20 minutes total of this series. Might be watching less than that each series after.

There we go. Well on our way to an 8-1 score.

classic Royals.  1-6 in last 7 games, oh and in case you missed it, CLE is now in 2nd place as we free fall to last.  this team will be in last by august 1st and no trades to be made to sell Shields or to acquire players to make a run will have been made.

the Royals won't score a run today, don't give them any credit.  and could we ever turn a double play?  Ventura got two ground balls with runners on that of course were just 1 out at a time.

Anyone still not want to trade Ventura? Can't strike anyone out, clearly not the same player. Maybe the scout on the radio a month ago was correct. Trade him now while he still has some value.

He might turn into a good pitcher one of these days but it's not going to be with this train wreck franchise.

Figured Billy would run into one once we are down 8-0.
