Game Day - 7/19/14 - Can Ned avoid affecting the game?

Dyson 8, Infante 4, Hosmer 3, Perez 2, Gordon 7, Butler DH, Moustakas 5, Aoki 9, Escobar 6, Duffy 1

Cain needs a day off after having the week off...because Ned needs him against the lefty tomorrow.  Lord knows he might be too winded if he played today after the last week off.

They're being nice about the reason for Cain's off day. Count all his hits in the Detroit series and last night. Cain had a few hot weeks and it looks like he might be going through his few ice cold weeks to even things out.

Aoki is essentially a right field version of Chris Getz.

So tonight, Ned PHs Raul Ibanez in some big spot in the 7th, and the Red Sox go to a lefty and get Raul out?

While we have a whole thread dedicated to the trade deadline, I think the single best move DM can make to improve this team is firing Ned.  I feel like his decision making has lost us at least five games this year.

So, you're saying that Aoki is a right fielder that plays the game the right way, gets his uniform dirty, and just grits the sh*t out of baseball?  Oh, and has a hot wife?

Cain isn't exactly the hottest hitter. He is 0 for his last 19. Last night he had 5 AB's and struck out 3 times.

That's the reason he's not an All-Star, his errors are always costly when he makes them,.

LOL...the Red Sox have made to horrific errors that have given the Royals two golden opportunities.  But we all know what the Royal's offense does with opportunities.

Remember that Oakland game a few years back that everyone blames on broxton? Yeah that was escobars fault, he booted a taylor made double play right before that.

JFC, the Royals have one of the best shortstops in the game and you morans act like he's worthless because he makes one error. Stick to watching football.

When should we start talking about locking up Duffy? He's gonna be a super two next year and he'll end up getting expensive through arbitration.

Actually, two errors.  One led to a run last night, that was rather significant considering it was a one run game.  Tonight, his error let the Red Sox tie the game.  He's played like sh*t on defense and looked like sh*t on offense last night and tonight.

In short, he's been worthless the past two nights.

Context is important.

OK. 5 years $40M? Is that even close to enough?
