Would rather switch Infante and Cain in the order, but not bad. I'm worried that Guthrie will get blown up in this game, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Let's walk out of Detroit with an AL Central lead!

Nori-san absent due to injury or splits?

Cain has only had 12hrs of rest. He will likely shatter like a falling chandelier when he steps on the field.

Thanks, Dave.

My guess is injury. They're probably going to be careful with his tweaked groin.

Yeah, wish Cain and Omar were flipped. Hopefully Omar continues to hit well vs. his old team though.

60 day DL him, bring up Maxwell and start him every day in right with Dyson as 4 OFer.  Aoki is just completely lost and I was completely on board with the trade for him when it happened.

Would take a 40 man roster move.
Paraedes  is more likely

Considering the Royals punished Verlander and Sherzer on consecutive nights, the perfect follow-up today would be to score 4 runs in the 9th against Nathan, Chamberlain, or whoever the Tigers trot out there.

He left yesterdays game with Groin tightness. I assume they are just giving him a day to rest it. I think Dyson oughta play more though. hes played well in the opportunities hes gotten

I'm glad Aoki is out of the lineup. Dyson is a better player anyway.

Not sure how much I like Guthrie's chances. He hasn't been good this year and this just seems like the most predictable loss of the series. Our offense will have to really bring it again today if you ask me.

I'm going to predict Guthrie doesn't do too badley - gives up three or four runs in 6 IP or so.  Guthrie is basically Jeff Suppan in his good years in KC - and Suppan was far and away the Royals' best pitcher.  Thankfully the times have changed.

Anyone care to describe how that play went. Can't watch but have Gamecast up at work. Infield single and score from 2nd?

Gordon hit a ground ball up the middle that got past the pitcher. Shortstop went to field it, but it bounced off the base and shot over into shallow right-center field, and Hoz scored from second.

Yeah, but the bounce off the backstop last night straight back to Perez and then the ball hitting second base today. Man, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Loving this.
