I love the Royals. Nothing will ever change that. I've spent 30+ years passionately rooting for this team. Things like this just make me cry.

Tonight they are blatantly allowing an inferior player the strong chance to get one extra at bat and roam center field for nine innings over a superior player. Not giving him a day off. Not easing off a slumping player.

Blows. My. Fricking. Mind. Utter, blatant, obvious stupidity. And they do **** like this over and over and over again.

With that lineup id prbably bat Cain leadoff and Dyson 9th. See if Esky and Dyson could et on for the top of the order. Dyson's on base is like .340, so not the worst choice to leadoff

I'm confused, you would rather see Dyson patrolling RF?

I dont think getting Cain out of CF from time to time is all that bad an idea. Dyson is no scrub out there. In fact he probably deserves more AB's than Aoki at this point. No one is arguing Dyson is better than Cain, but him playing RF once every couple weeks isnt the worst idea ever... you might have a point if it happened more often =, but it doesnt

He probably shouldnt hit leadoff you are right there... He is getting on base at a .340 clip though so hes not a disaster up there either

Re: Game 64 part deux - versus Cleveland

The potential for 4 more PAs to the top 4 vs your 4 best hitters in this game. But it doesn't matter.

Neddy should actually swap Moustakas and Hosmer at this point.  Might as well go all in with the batting order doesn't matter strategy.

The addition of Donnie Joseph makes it all better.

Thanks, Dave.

Re: Game 64 part deux - versus Cleveland

Dyson is a fine CF, at least when balls are in the air. He can cover tons of ground. Cain is better. Cain is a better RF, too, I think. They never let Dyson play RF. But where would you rather have your better defender? I'll listen to "saving Cain's legs.". On occasion.

The lineup is inexcusable and was constructed by a backwards idiot.

Re: Game 64 part deux - versus Cleveland

Per the other thread, a lineup of all Willie Bloomquist would score 3.267 runs per game. But it would be grittier than store brand toilet paper.

Nothing wrong with Dyson at leadoff the way he's been getting on base this year. But he needs to be followed by Cain, Gordon, and Sal.

Yeah but Nori has a track record and doesn't keep Cain out of center.

Dyson doesnt keep Cain out of center either. He gets a start every couple weeks. If you want something to bitch about im certain you can do better than this

Line-up

The folks that are perpetuating the myth that Dyson is somehow an acceptable center fielder need to just STOP. He's OK every once in a while, but when the day comes that he loses a step or two (like Aoki obviously has), his massive shortcomings will be exposed for all to see.      crazy

I would go:

Aoki
Cain
Gordon
Perez
Hosmer
Butler
Escobar
Infante
Moose

At least until Infante snaps out of it. You could also Bat Dyson lead-off and in RIGHT field instead of Aoki, or drop Dyson in the line-up, and slide everyone up one. Oh, and replace Moose with anyone! Heck, I'd rather watch Shields out there than the stench that is Mr. Arrogant, Mike Moustakas.      bored1

Aoki makes me pine for the smooth defensive reads of Terrence Long.

Yost is going to play this game under protest.  Cleveland has moved a guy who is hot up in their batting order.
