Re: Today's Move

I wouldn't be do sure. They're wanting a fresh arm, so why have a reliever go 3 innings if you're about to bring him up?

Even 2013 Alcides Escobar is starting to feel bad for Mike Moustakas.

You inspired me to look up Trips. 2007 TPJ had a higher OPS than Moose and Butler currently have.

I don't foresee anyone getting close to 2008 TPJ for a long time.

2014 Brett Hayes disagrees with you

2025 Moose (who works at Best Buy) wants to kick 2014 Moose in the groin.

...Hayes has 357 lifetime appearances for a slash of .212/.257/.361 and how is he different than TPJ?

Moose already has more $ than most of us will see in a lifetime.. no wonder he's not motived to keep himself in shape.

Re: Today's Move

The fact that Moose and Billy are below TPJ level and the Royals are around .500 is a testament to the way the rest of the team is playing, particularly the pitchers.  But Escobar has done his share, I'm not sure how much worse this team would be with 2013 Escobar.   Even unlikely guys like Gio and Valencia have had key moments.

Re: Today's Move

To be fair to Moustakas - granted, in spite of utter suckitude - he's actually managed to time most of his very, very few hits as well as possible.

Sounds like Ciriaco will likely be in tonight's starting lineup for the #Royals.

A) You originally wrote 2014 Hayes.
B) Hayes actually has 388 lifetime plate appearances.
C) That's still 58 points higher than TPJ's 2008 OPS+ and 220 points higher than TPJ's 2008 OPS.
