Just got an ecstatic text from RoyalsChristopher that Bob Davis is gone.
I'm at work, but can anyone elaborate?

Odd timing.. doesn't sound like it will be a willing departure. Why would a guy who had been around the last 16 years step down when things are about to get good.. or at least better? especially right when ST is starting. weird

DBLesky(formerly known as JokimTough) said that the info was known to the media for at least two weeks but waited till it was officially announced, so he could have made the decision well before and it just wasn't announced till now.

I will miss Bob Davis. Yeah, he had his flaws, but I always appreciated his excitement for the game and for the Royals. Frankly, I'd rather listen to Bob these days than Denny, who often sounds like he'd rather be anywhere than at the ballpark.
Read where BD is going to be able to spend more time at home taking care of his wife (Parkinson's). You can't fault a guy for that.

Now if only Ryan Lefevre can go to radio, and we get a personality in the booth that meshes with Rex.
sorry to those who hate Rex. I like him..and Ryan just grates at me the same way Bob Davis did.

He chilled out a bit as the season went a long. Hes pretty damn goofy, and not for everyone, but I dont think most people hate him now |
