Jon Heyman just said it was a minor league deal with an invite to spring training.

I really hope it's not a guaranteed 1.1 mil and hope it's contingent on him making team. 2b?

If its a minor league deal Im ok with it. If its the mythical righty power utility bat were looking for Im skeptical to say the least.

it is a minor-league deal for Tejada, so the $ is not guaranteed. @dSoldevila 1st reported he had deal w/ KC

royals were impressed with how well tejada is playing this winter. good to see him re-emerge. very nice man. Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS

Why do I get the same feeling that I had when KC signed Yuni. Over the hill vet who isn't sold out on his role. Waiting for someone to say "He still has some pop in his bat. Chavez & Tejada signings don't show much confidence in Lough, Dyson or Falu.

Worthy flyer I suppose....I could see him winning 2b job. Maybe he makes 2b replacement level.....

Hope he gets back on the juice and can give us a good first half before he's caught.

Is there a font for sarcasm?

Still one of my favorite players and one of my favorite(funny) moments at a game(2003 vs SF.) Tejada hit a HR to the LF bleachers where I was. It rattled around a few rows below me until a teenage girl(12? 13?) got it. She was so excited she kept yelling(in spite of her parents embarrassment) "I caught Miggy's balls! I caught Miggy's balls!"

I'mstoked. Sabermetrics be damned. You KNOW he's gonna comeback on the same sh!t Bartolo's been on. Fifteen to twenty HomeRuns practically guaranteed.

I suppose this is the SS to spell Escobar and a Rh bat to relieve Moose. They might even want him to push Gio/ Getz for the 2B job. I doubt he can ably perform any of those roles.

relatively harmless, I guess. But I'd rather just take the money committed to him and Getz and spend it on someone who might actually play a reasonable 2B.
