We will NOT Ryu the day we faced Hin

Tribe bats come alive for the second straight day. Two out of three in Lala land.

Love the optimism but Santana shows how in spite of his great OPS and decent power numbers, he is not really the best "run-producer", sigh having someone like Columbus Aguilar who knows how to knock in guys on third and less than two outs with reliable consistency in the #4 hole will be great.
No PBP by me today...too much work.

Bauer kind of all over the place, it will be interesting to see how many pitches he throws are actually in the zone.
He is reminding me of Ubaldo.  Both good and bad.

44 pitches through 3, 28 strikes, no walks. not sure what you expect from bauer.

Just basing it off of Gameday, he isn't really around the plate, they are like way out of the zone.  Like I said the scatter pattern reminds me of Ubaldo.
He is getting a lot of swings at pitches out of the zone, which is good and bad I guess.
Raburn sighting, 2-0 Indians.  What a shock.

Sigh, Francona always seems to be a batter too late.  Having Bauer try to work out of it after walking two hitters in a row is highly questionable.
Like I said, his numbers look good but he was all over the place, none of his pitches were consistently down in the zone all game, everything was up etc.ohlord

Man, Brantley getting robbed again on a line drive, huge play which cost us a run.  Sigh...even when this team hits the ball hard it doesn't seem to do much.

bauer is never down in the zone, unless they're in the dirt. i can't fault francona for not making the hook there, as much as i would have been tempted to.

Re: We will NOT Ryu the day we faced Hin

Freaking A Rojas, how can you rob Brantley like that and then make an error on a freaking ground ball.  SWITCH IT AROUND!tongue
Then he starts a potential 5-4-3 which is just late.

Did ACab get a bad lead or something because he was out by a mile.  With two outs and a 3-2 count I would have expected a better effort in trying to score on Santana's single.  Nice job by Santana going the other way, hope to see more of that.

Does Francona not know how to do the double-switch?  SEriously by bringing in Pestano by himself with the pitcher's spot leading off the next inning, you are stuck using Pestano for hopefully only one batter.ohlord

Wow...it is pretty bad when all you can bring up for your pitcher's spot to face a LHP is a LHH who is hitting .208 against LHP.
ohlord
Kipnis definitely not liking the leadoff spot.
