Game 82: Visiting the Haren

Sigh...sub 90MPH fastball RHP, Indians are in big trouble.ohlord

1-2-3 on three ground outs...yeah that was exciting.  Not a pitch over 88 MPH.

Example of a real hitter, Puig is able to take a good slider that is actually off the plate and get a flare single.  Our hitters would freaking swing and not even come close to the pitch.bangheadbanghead

1-2-3 for the Indians, at least they vary it with a GO, K, and a FO, must be because Haren brings the heat at 89 this inning.
In additional horrible news, A's freaking blow a 3 run lead in the ninth, by giving up a FREAKING GRAND SLAM TO RAJAI DAVIS!!!!!bangheadbangheadbangheadbangheadbangheadbanghead

That Detroit win is a kick to the gut. That will probably jump start them to the division title.

Meanwhile, the Tribe has only 1 hit in their last 13 innings.

Bourn breaks that streak, but gets robbed of an RBI by the SS.  Now one of the slumpiest of hitters is up...yeah odds of scoring with a 1st and 3rd 2 outs is really bad.

Freaking Detroit, I can't stand them.

Hamilton is pretty much saying ACab is not going to get a hit.  Can we PLEASE get someone up here who can actually play defense at least if that is the case?!  PLEASE?!
Oh well ACab knew he couldn't hit if he swung the bat he was just praying to get enough balls thrown as he takes strike three located right where he swung at two prior pitches.  bangheadbanghead

Kluber gives up a run to a 29 year old rookie (1st major league hit) and that about does it.

1-0 LAD

And of course...after it appeared Kluber was going to pitch out of a man on third no one out jam (courtesy of an iffy play by Brantley), a guy gets his first major league hit to give the Dodgers a 1-0 lead.

And the Indians have only given up 8 runs in the last 41 innings!

Two hits in nineteen innings.

Murphy 1 for his last 44.

Throw strikes and we simply cannot score. It takes three hits in an inning to plate a run and we're incapable of doing that.

Someone want to tell me again that we need pitching?

Kluber - in line for the loss - is down to 2.99 ERA...

not too shabby. (says the guy already looking at the pieces around which to BUILD upon in '15 & '16)

According to your man, Hoynes', rant...he says we don't need a bat.  All we need is a FOR pitcher...

go figure...pirate

So, one half inning away from starting the second half of the season...Are we really a .481 team (78 - 84)? Do you see us over or under this?

Re: Game 82: Visiting the Haren

Saw the replay, I am surprised Brantley got to the ball and got a glove on it I have a feeling he glanced at the fence at the last minute (familiarity of park factor) and thus didn't squeeze the ball. I am shocked Ethier made it to third. Probably one of those cases where if Brantley played it safe and took it off the wall instead of the spectacular it would have turned out better.

Two hits in twenty innings.

And one lamentable effort by Michael Brantley. He's not off the hook in this one.
