Let's take this one!  Need CC to go at least 6 innings.

Neither can Swisher.  He's 3 for 35 against the vaunted Twins pitching staff.

Let that sink in a little bit.

Hopefully, the B2 is better for CC.

Carlos is his own worst enemy--nice pickoff there--but let's face it, everything is finding holes too.  He could use a break or two, or some sort of nice defensive play.

Twins top tier pitching staff is going to shut us down with the huge 4-0 lead.

This is the bad CC.  4-0...still in the B2.

If Carrasco continues to be a p@##$$ and refuses to pitch inside they have to get rid of him. Everyone is allowed to get comfortable and extend their arms. It's been long enough since the "incident"...no more excuses. Rant over

Lonnie would have been better served letting that go... this team just irritates me too much lately...it's best I just get it a rest for awhile lol...Carrasco can't locate at all...missing his spot more than he is hitting it... all the talent and stuff you need but he just can't get it going... he hasn't hit the target yet on Mauer ... Los sits upside and for the 4th straight pitch CC misses his spot and Mauer hammer an 0-2 fastball that comes right back over the plate and Minny is up 4-0... let's pray Kaz holds up from here on out because Idon't wanna see CC again starting a ballgame this year

I mean, I haven't seen single pitch hit by the Twins that's in the middle of the strike zone. Everything's on the edges and they're getting hits. It's perplexing. The only thing that I'm wondering is if he's trying too hard to trick guys...he has to pound that fastball...too many of these hits are on off-speed offerings.

Mauer just singled on a fastball right down the middle that was suppose to be inside on an 0-2 pitch... CC may hit a corner but it is usually the opposite one from where Los wanted it ...wink

Bread, a lot of his pitches getting hit ARE inside, right on the edge of the strike zone, some down, but Mauer's was high and inside right on the edge of the zone.  Are you advocating he throw inside off the plate?  Maybe that's what he needs to do, but he isn't throwing these pitches over the plate, not by a long shot.

Nope, it was on the upper inside corner.  Right on the corner of the strike zone as shown on TV.  Now, he could have gotten that off the plate on that count, but it wasn't a horrible pitch.  Mauer pulled his hands in and hit a nice line drive, what are you going to do?

Yes throw inside off the plate, at least once every bicentennial.

Re: Game 121: Let's Celebrate the Seemingly Impossible

In the last Twins series in Minnesota and the first two games of this series the center field camera was located 25 feet up and shot over the pitcher's head thus centering on the plate instead of the camera shooting from a lower point and to the pitcher's right and getting the plate from an angle.

It took getting used to but I love the longer shot centered on the plate because it shows the movement of a pitch better and gives a better look as to whether the ball is on or off the plate.

I have no idea why the center field camera is in its conventional place today.

I wish they would decide which one to use and stay with it.

Yeah it's kinda annoying, as soon as you get used to judging the strikezone from one angle it changes.
