hopefully De La Cruz will be healthy. they had to shut him down for a couple of weeks.
They need him to be healthy and become the pitcher he has the potential of being. With adam miller basically done, we will need rondon and De la cruz to come through to hopefully back up carmona (who needs to figure things out soon)

Looking at the numbers, he started the season off being extremely lucky (allowing virtually no hits) but has steadily been improving (striking out more and walking less). It's way to early to say anything, but I suppose I would be surprised if he suddenly turned everything around and went from ace pitching prospect, to value-less, to ace pitching prospect in less than 3 years; but lets hope that he does! From the scouting reports I've read on Lofgren, he doesn't seem to have FOR "stuff" either. So even if he does turn it around we probably aren't looking anyone who has more poential than Sowers/Laffey/Huff/Reyes, but clearly it's always good to have depth and the more guys you have the more likely one is to become better than their projections.

It looks like he's getting a few too many hits on groundballs and is showing very, very little power. His plate discipline is very, very impressive though. Worth keeping an eye on him.
