Shapiro, Hamilton, and Rosenhaus Interview

I thought this was a nice look at these guys, in a much lighter/laid back setting than we are used to seeing. Warning, it's very long (44 minutes)

That 45 minutes blew by. Very entertaining. Hamilton starting off his career in someone's cellar. Shap making fun of the former Fausto was surprising.

I need an afternoon mid week Cactus game fix.

Great find Tampa guy.cool

Bread's right -- it's a fast 45 minutes.  Some reasons to listen:
* Shapiro talks about the "Moneyball" movie -- and he got to review the script in advance
* Shapiro says the use of analytics/Sabermetrics has advanced "10-fold" since Beane's Moneyball year (2002)
* the Indians president's view on baseball revenues
* a great Fausto Carmona background story (that I never heard before)
* Shapiro's greatest mistake (a trade, naturally)
* the John Rocker trade (Tom Hamilton adds his critique)
* Shapiro on the job of a manager each day
* Tom Hamilton on this year's off-season

Oh, and there's another good moment: Hamilton explains why Big Ten games don't have "Brent Mussberger" moments (harking back to his monologue on the quarterback's girlfriend).
