All I want .starting .pitching

All I want .starting .pitching

Masterson to pitch consistently the way he pitches when he is doing well.
Ubaldo to "find it" and be our number one.
Bauer to pitch to his potential and lock down a spot.
Myer to pitch like he did up to a couple of years ago.
Kazmir to regain form.

That's not too much to ask is it, after all I didn't ask for anydepth. Well yeah I want Carrasco to pitch to ability as well lol

Best part about winter is dreaming about possibilities before reality has to set it.

McCallister and Gruber have potential to be good BOR pitchers.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling that Mcallister is going to have a break-out year.  I just hope he gets a shot this year.

I fully expect (barring injuries) McAllister to begin the year in the rotation, with Bauer at AAA. But yes, I think McAllister can be a serviceable #4-5 starter (upside of a #3, perhaps).

i'd say mcallister's breakout year was 2012. whoever expected him to even be as good as he was? if he can stay at that level or improve even slightly, he's a very valuable commodity.

I think McAllister has the talent to be a decent MOR pitcher or a very good BOR. They just have to put him in the rotation and give him a good chance.

I like McAllister also but unless they are willing to move Ubaldo to the bullpen McAllister could very well end up being the odd man out if Bauer makes the rotation out of spring training and one of Carrasco or Kazmir show that they are a option in the #5 slot in the rotation.

So I see the rotation

Masterson
Ubaldo
McAllister
Myers
Bauer

or

Masterson
Ubaldo
Myers
Bauer
Kazmir or Carrasco

or

Ubaldo goes to the bullpen

Masterson
McAllister
Myers
Bauer
Carrasco or Kazmir

forget carrasco, for now. there's no way he starts in the majors in 2013, recovering from that injury and having an innings limit that goes with it. he may be an option at mid-year.

very unlikely kazmir makes the team. but if the miracle happens and he pitches like he did for the Rays the first couple of years, bauer could easily start the year at AAA

Need one more guy that can eat innings. One more.

RE: All I want .starting .pitching

they don't need another "innings-eater." what they need is someone to give them quality innings.

last year the team threw 1442 innings. the bullpen compiled 528 of those, which is too many. they should be closer to 475. so that leaves 970 or so among the starters.

masterson will throw 200. ubaldo will be close to 200, and so should myers (at least that's what they're counting on). mcallister went 125 in 22 starts, a pace that would put him over 180. that leaves 190 among huff, carrasco, bauer, kluber, kazmir, whoever. last year the various fill-in starters (huff, seddon, carmona, gomez, tomlin and kluber) threw 284.

I'd like another minor signing....Jurrjens or Pavano anyone? Not confident enough in Ubaldo/Bauer/Carrasco/Kazmir.

Pavano might be OK.

I would take either one.
