Re: Trade idea from a Yankee fan

God, you are a retard on multiple forums? Hopefully you will be too dumb to figure out the new Scout sites again when they relaunch.

All those guys we traded had flaws but we depleted our stock of hitters built for GAP.

As the Yanks and the Reds learn in  the post-season, usually small ball and pitching win.  Rolen is retiriing, maybe Swisher would be within the budget of the Reds; plus Phillips likely being gone if the Reds go with Cozart, Hamilton and Frazier.  Phillips is a great player, but basically Willie Randolph with power, and less OBP; not worth a huge contract extension.

If you take Dusty Bake and Scott Rolen too.
Rolen is retiring.

It was on the TBS broadcast, didn't realise that Phillips had re-negotiated his deal.

My point was mostly financial, the Yanks need a cheaper OF, with power to replace Swisher; the Reds would gain a starter with a solid background; a pitcher who could either start, close, or join Chapman at the back of the game, and a speedy LF, combine with Hamilton would be fun to watch.  The AL

East is the toughest division FOR A STARTING PITCHER, smaller parks, the DH, that's my point about Hughes compared what the Red starter'
s face.

Which is the 2nd reason it is stupid.  Bruce is locked up.  Why would we trade a locked up cheap player only to create another hole in our roster?  Gardner is not an everyday player.  I have no clue why you would even think he is.  And Hughes and Joba are junk.

It doesn't make any sense for the Reds at all.
