Looks like the Reds will have to find another successor to Dusty.

Call me crazy, but I don't see how you've got a guy like Travieso, who we've barely seen, higher than Cingrani, who has basically dominated on every level so far. I get that Travieso has the talent, but Cingrani is almost a shoe in to at least be mildly successful at the ML level. Flip those two and I think the list is generally pretty accurate.

Travieso is a better prospect.  You don't rank guys based on who is the closest to the majors.

Did anyone else watch the AFL Rising Stars game last night? Hamilton showed his good and his bad in the game. His speed just changes games.

Hamilton was injured in the AFL Championship game.  Crashed into the CF wall.  He left the game with back spasms but it did not appear to be serious.  He was seen celebrating with his teammates on the field after the game.

Reds top prospect Billy Hamilton, who left Saturday's AFL championship game after crashing into the center field wall, has been diagnosed with lower back spasms.

Everyone can now breathe a collective sigh of relief that the injury wasn't more significant. Hamilton even returned to the field to celebrate with his team after the Peoria Javelinas wrapped up the league title

Winker has a ton of potential as a hitter, but Smith is going to be a 4th/5th OF'er, IMO.

Former Cubs and Angels infielder Jose Nieves was named the manager of Class A Dayton, the Dragons announced Wednesday. Additionally, Tony Fossas will rejoin the Dragons as pitching coach. The Dragons will name a hitting coach at a later date. The Reds also announced that Tyler Steele will return to the Dragons for his fifth season as athletic trainer.

Delino DeShields, the Dragons' manager in 2011-12, will serve as the manager of the Reds' Double-A affiliate, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, in 2013.

Alex Pelaez and Tom Browning, members of the Dragons' coaching staff last season, will also return to the Reds organization in '13 with other affiliates.

Nieves, 37, managed the Reds' Arizona League club in Goodyear in each of the last two seasons after serving as manager of the Reds' affiliate in the Venezuelan Summer League in 2010.

I find it interesting that they moved DeShields up to AA.  They must think he is a better manager than I do.

Plus they jumped him over Ken Griffey Sr. at High-A, which is a curious move.  I'd like to know the reasoning behind it.

My first thought on DeShields was that they want him to work with Hamilton again, but I believe the Reds are planning on starting Billy at AAA provided spring training goes well.
