Fiesta I will say this, the movie is edgy - it is about the porn industry in the late 1970's. If that kind of stuff bothers you then do not watch it. That said, if it doesn't, the movie has a lot of very amusing moments. I love the movie and a lot of my friends do as well. That said, I would not feel comfortable recommending it, especially on a board like this.

| | Jorge Cantu reportedly has a Wednesday court date in Pinellas County stemming from a temporary protection order filed against him earlier this week. St. Petersburg resident Nanci Michelle Ikerd alleged she sustained bruises to her left biceps and was verbally threatened Feb. 8. Cantu denied the charges and said he didn't anticipate missing any time to resolve the matter. "After their investigation we'll see what comes out," Cantu said. |

San Diedo Padre Justin Germano got absolutely shelled tonight, giving up 10 runs in 3 1/3 IP. Other than today's start, he'd actually been pitching very well. Through his first 3 starts, his ERA was 1.35. After his 4th start today, his ERA rocketed up to 5.01. That's what one horrid start will do to you.

Re: Ex-Reds Thread
Brad Salmon (for still unannounced PTBNL or cash): been ineffective for the most part at AAA Omaha. Jon Coutlangus (for Dan Perales, who's still injured?): been very ineffective at AAA Tucson. Calvin Medlock (with Schackelturd for Cantu and Cumberland): been pretty effective at AAA in relief; Still a little miffed over letting Cantu go. Cumberland is on fire, seems he got hot right as I was saying he had the least upside of the outfielders at AA, well whatever the upside is, his OPS is through the roof the last couple weeks and still has more bb's than k's. Why is his neck so long?) Shack: out of baseball? Dumatrait (let go): Been ok for Pittsburgh - 3.92 era after nice 4 inning outing. I think we can deal with his absence, although maybe not the trauma he caused us. Zach Ward (for Lohse who begat Maloney): Moved to the bullpen in AA and has done very well. Even with Maloney's struggles, I think a potential #5 like him is worth more to us than Ward, when we have good reliever depth at his level. I am worried about Pedro Viola's struggles though.

Speaking of Lohse, he is 3-0, 2.36 ERA for the Cardinals. It can't last! I'm pretty sure the Reds don't face Lohse in the current series. I'm still OK with Maloney's potential though he stunk in ST.

C. Trent Writes:
I know Lance is in love with Josh Hamilton, and, well, I'm happy for him as well. I'm very glad Josh is doing well. I like Josh and his family. I hope he has a great season. But I'm not sure Lance is aware that even with Hamilton's incredible April, the Rangers are 10-18.

RE: Ex-Reds Thread
Eager to add depth in the wake of Troy Tulowitzki's devastating leg injury, the Rockies have agreed in principle on a minor-league deal with infielder Juan Castro today, according to his agent. "We are going to Colorado," agent Oscar Suarez said. Castro will likely report to Triple-A in Colorado Springs to get some at-bats after being inactive for several days when the Cincinnati Reds designated him for assignment. Depending on how second base and shortstop shakes out at the major league level, Castro could get a look with the Rockies. http://www.denverpost.com/ci_9132709

Dumatrait gives up 3 hits in 5.2 innings 0ER 5K and gets the win over SF. You gotta be kidding? I remember last year when he gave up 3 hits to the brewers....

Pretty sure that is Dumatrait's first ML win, per what they said on ESPN last night.

Looks like Kyle Loshe has come back to reality. He's getting pounded by the Rockies right now.

How does a rotation of Lohse, Looper, Wellemeyer, and Piniero take you to the top of the division? How do hitters like Schumaker, Izturis, Adam Kennedy, and Aaron Miles take them to the top year after year? How do they make a Horrible trade for Troy Glaus, absorb the injury of Carpenter, and skate by with an ailing Pujols and still stay at the top? Yadier Molina is batting .300+! Ron Villone and Ryan Franklin are dominant for them! Rick Ankiel went from washed up pitcher to top outfielder! Jason Larue is on their roster! Jeff Weaver led them to a world series!!!! It makes no sense and I'm completely jealous but I hate the effing Cards! *Rant over*
