The United States Will Not Have Their Best Pitchers for the WBC,

The United States Will Not Have Their Best Pitchers for the WBC,

But, that being said, I am glad that none of the Red's pitchers are on the team.  Brandon Phillips will playing, along with Braun, Wright, Texeria, Stanton, and Adam Jones.

My problem with the Classic is that it is in March, and do you really want your good pitchers to be throwing an additional 20 innings for the season?  I also heard that American players don't see this as Team US because it is not the Olympics, thus, no gold medal.

Not sure how that would work.  I guess there is no good time for the WBC to be played.  Heard that last year's Cy Young winner will be pitching, but no other top notch pitchers.  Have to wonder if that is because he is a knuckleballer.

They were wanting a starting rotation of Price, Kershaw, Weaver, and the Tigers ace whose name escapes me.

I'm with shadow on the arms myself, keep them for Reds games. God forbid one getting injured.
