Re: The Hall of Fame and Steroids

One of the biggest baseball let downs in recent memory.....Shawn Estes not drilling Clemens when he had the chance. If I'd have been the commissioner at the time, I'd have suspended Estes for not hitting him.

"I would stare out at the mound and scream at pitchers.  I would point my bat right at them and shout profanities at them.  Uhhh.... except for Bob Gibson.  Bob Gibson would kick your ass."--Pete Rose.  LOL I will never forget this discussion during a rain delay a couple of years ago in Cincy.

They were actually arguing that if a player was good enough to make it without steroids, then go ahead and vote em in even though they obviously took them.

The first thing I thought when I saw  Clemons pick up a jagged piece of a broken bat that bounced his way and throw it at Mike Piazza as Pizza was running to 1b-- Roid Rage.
I remember that roid rage o clemons' tossing the piece o bat.  Should have beaten his chest.
.....like the old saying goes, if you s....... no hold the phone on that one.  But, if you cheat you are therefore a cheater.  Is what it is.  Well they could create a wing .....only cheated a little?  lol.....

Think of Pedro Bourbon on roids, OMG!  Or some of the more colorful pitchers.  Damnation.....Gibson -  Brushback hell, whack.

That was appreciated, thanks.  Cracked me up good.  Made me type in rose and gibson on bing and found a Quotes site.http://www.goodquotes.com/author/pete-rose

The greatest competitor was Bob Gibson. He worked so fast out there and he always had the hood up. He always wanted to close his own deal. He never talked to you because he was battling so hard. I sure as hell don't miss batting against him, but I miss him in the game.
