I used to think Twitter was incredibly lame and childish, but lately I've really gotten into it. It's a really easy way to keep in touch with everything that's going on around you; very nice for sports and team updates. Anyway, if you have one, post it here and we can follow each other.

No. I hate twitter, foursquare, facebook, all that chit.


You know what folks who knew about the Choo trade 5 mins earlier than I did b/c they got it 'tweeted'? 5 mins more knowledge of something that won't even exist until the start of March.

There is bound to be a backlash against this stuff. I like info, but our collective slavishness to these 'smart' phones is so burdensome.

The guy I know who is the biggest user of these things will often update his facebook with idiotic political rants, tweets when he has a particuarly satisfying dump, and always 'checks in' on foursquare from wherever he goes to eat. One day I will use the knowledge that he is gone to a fine dinner to go to his home, upper deck his toilet, spray paint nasty comments about Obama, then steal all his booze and beer -- and leave a note thanking him for letting the whole world when he would be certain to be gone from home for at least 2 hours.

I will look at twitter once in a while yup, not as much recently been busy but I have a buncha sports dudes on there. It was alright.

I like it because it is easier and quicker to learn about things and then talk to them with people who share my interests.  Also, it allows me to learn about things I would like to watch.  I go on twitter and see tweets about a great game or something that I am not watching and then I go turn it on.  I have seen some great games I would have missed if I didn't have twitter.

now that i feel even more an old man, still want to say **** twatter, myface, LumpedIn -- and a happy new year to all!

I have 2 younger brothers, 1 a soph at FSU and 1 a frosh at FL.  Both would do a lot better with the opposite sex if they learned to communicate with spoken language rather than by text. 

Gotta say this stuff makes us more impersonal, even though it seems like so much more interpersonal connections are happening, they epitomize ephemeral relationships.  Tricky feeling, like a cocaine high -- and that is just what some studies show when the "tech addicted" are denied their phones and tablets -- actual withdrawl symptoms.

Anyway, I would never have been able to get anywhere with the ladies were it not for the gift of gab.  Thank god that there are plenty of dumb and slutty florida girls, though, for my little bros sake at least!
