Yeah but all those guys hit during the season (except Martin who is there for his defense really). A-Rod had a miserable season for what they pay him. And defensively, Chavez is most likely the better option.
Give Girardi credit. It took balls to pinch hit for him in Game 3 and sit him in Game 5. And both times, it worked.
