Olt sucks.  He's lucky he's even collecting a major league paycheck.

Coglin sucks.

Brett Jackson has a 1.153 OPS over his last ten games.  Bring him up.  I don't want to hear about K's.  Nate Schierholtz is human garbage.

You seriously want to add ANOTHER guy who strikes out at a record pace to this lineup with Olt and Lake?  Jackson isn't even walking much any more, at least he had that before. He can keep his .264 OBP down on the farm.  If they're going to promote someone after a 10-game hot streak they would have brought up Baez.   Bjax will never see the bigs as a Cub.   If Vitters is still hurt and they need another bat I'd just assume they call up Kalish again or give Szcur his shot.

Jackson isn't even a prospect.

The great Lake has finally hit his BABIP slump while he has struck out at a 40 percent clip over his last 40 plate appearances. On pace to break the record.

Yeah, which is why you have nothing to lose.

You keep saying that like it matters. It doesn't. Keep playing the guy. The season is for rebuilding. Lake has more long term potential then Jackson at this point.

Baker though is making miss the Koyie Hill era. blah2

Re: Cubs vs Mets

Is it just me, or have Castro's errors cost us a bunch of runs this year? They always seem to be with 2 outs and men on base. EJax has enough trouble getting through the first inning on his own, now Castro cost him 3 runs.

No, it doesn't matter.  But he seems to be pulling for it.  The stretch that saw Lake make more contact was met with silence.  Now there's reason for "hope" again that a Cub can get this dubious distinction.  I guess I don't see the point unless he's blocking someone, a bet is on the line or he ran over his dog.
